J Vineyards Wine Tasting

J Vineyards.jpg

J Vineyards Pinot Noir

This texturally impressive (luscious, graceful and generous) new release from J is their first multi-appellation wine. It may be the juiciest Pinot we've tasted (all our editors agreed). From its raspberry-earth nose to its cherry-lavender middle, the "J Black" label could just be the little black dress of wines.

Wine Tasting Notes
J Vineyards Pinot Noir has aromatic notes of exotic spice, cherry preserves and black tea. The palate is plush, jammy and ripe with flavors of spicy black pepper, cola and plum. Enjoy this wine with roasted leg of lamb with a balsamic-fig reduction or cranberry-glazed roast turkey breast with creamy mushroom risotto.

70% Monterey County, 26% Sonoma County, 4% Santa Barbara County, 100% Pinot Noir.

J Vineyards Pinot Gris

Our J California Pinot Gris opens with delightful aromas of honeysuckle, tangerine and Kaffir lime leaf. This fruit-forward and layered palate has notes of ripe green apple, Meyer lemon and tart pineapple that blend with hints of florals and crisp minerality. A fantastic pairing with food, try this Pinot Gris with Thai green curry with prawns, grilled scallops with bamboo rice or chèvre and honey-preserved kumquats.

This Pinot Gris has an enticing bouquet of Fuji apple, ripe cantaloupe, and apricot. The crisp, clean mouthfeel is bursting with flavors of lemon and lime. A hint of kiwi and sweet orange blossom honey on the palate complements the fruit and acid. The lingering finish invites you to relax and enjoy another taste. In fact, it is the perfect sipper when entertaining with friends.
